This CD ROM contains six books, which have recorded many of Rhode Island's vital records in the towns of Cranston, Johnston, North Providence, Providence, and Warwick, during the period 1636-1850. The First United States Census of Rhode Island, taken in 1790, is included and provides substantial statewide reference material. There are in excess of 39,000 names listed in these four publications. The books are graphic images of the original publications, and can be read as you would any book. Each book contains an index, allowing you to do quick look-ups, and pages may be printed. All of this is accomplished using Adobe Acrobat Reader, which is provided FREE on the CD.
