Drisko-Crocker-Foster: Some of the "Coasters" of Maine and New HampshireDrisko-Crocker-Foster: Some of the "Coasters" of Maine and New Hampshire. Frances Sterling Drisko. Softcover, 2001, 8.5 in. x 11 in., Index, 481 pp. Drisko lines begin in the mid-1600s and are covered in some cases to the 14th generation. Crocker lines begin c.1695 and span 11 generations. Foster lines begin in the early 1600s and continue to the 11th generation. All 3 include both male and female descendants. These lines appear in almost every town along the coast of ME. Some of these families trace their origins back to the Mayflower and England. Captains, and the vessels they sailed, have been included for all 3 lines, and numerous photographs. Stories of the bravery of the pioneer men and women—including Elizabeth Hull Heard, and Margaret Stevenson Scott (hung as a witch at Salem) augment this genealogical work.
