BERKS COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, CHURCH RECORDS OF THE 18TH CENTURY, Volume 1. F. Edward Wright. Softcover, (1993), 2000, 5½x8½, Index, 354pp. Volume One of this work covers the records of churches in the southeastern portion of the county. This includes the area covered by townships of Brecknock, Caernarvon, Robeson, Union, Amity, Douglass, Colebrookdale, Earl, Oley and Exeter (except the Monthly Meeting of Exeter which is included in Volume Two). All births through 31 December 1800 were copied, regardless of the date of the baptism. The order of the records usually reflects the order of the ‘original’ from which the transcriber worked. If the date of the baptism was not recorded one can guess that the event might have occurred sometime between the baptisms appearing before and after the given entry. ISBN: 1-58549-251-5
